Hidden data in Office Applications?

Hi, not sure if this is the correct forum, but I am trying to find ou
how to view hidden data in Office apps.

The reason for this is I have students who have to research and fin
resources created in Office apps. Then they have to justify why the
chose a resource and state where they got it from. This is to giv
them ideas on things they can create themselves.

They have to produce an original resource using any Office application
but I want to be able to check that it is their own work, thus makin
sure they are not breaking copyright.

I know that the properties box shows data such writer and dates saved
printed etc. But if this information is changed by someone and ne
information has been inserted, is there anyway I can find out th
original document properties, is this hidden somewhere?

Thanks
Shirle

No. These proerties can easily be modified or removed, and while doing so
may leave traces, if it's done carefully, there's no way to know that it's
been done.
