I doubt that this can be done but the user is insistent and I have
to ask anyway. We are running Exchange 5.5 with Outlook 2000 clients. If the
user is selected from the GAL, someone can press "Properties" and see his
actual e-mail address. The user does not want this to be possible-- but he
has to have his name listed in the GAL, so I can't just hide the name
altogether. In other words, I want to hide "(e-mail address removed)" but not "Joe
User." He wants it "fixed" right now; otherwise I'd say wait until we
convert to Active Directory and we might be able to produce a workaround
then. It's even okay if we can prevent pressing "Properties" for all users,
but this guy does not want anyone seeing his e-mail address. (Oh, yes-- he's
the owner's son. Can't blow him off.) Any suggestions?
