Hidden grid lines that still print

P

Paul

I have created a table, selected same and then used the
appropriate button on the table menu to hide the grid
lines. The button chnages to denote that the grid lines
should be hidden but they still show on screen and on
print preview and they print out. Have I missed
something or is this just a glitch in the software? I am
running Windows XP on a pretty new machine with a new
printer with no known glitches.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi Paul

There's a difference between grid lines, which just display on the screen to
help you format your table, and borders, which actually print.

Sounds like you need to use Format > Borders and Shading, or a different
table autoformat, to remove borders. Note that borders around the table, and
borders on cells and rows, are different beasts.
