Hidden information in word documents

Word documents can contain information about previous versions of the
documents. I am being told that we need a "scrubber" utility to clean our
documents, but another source tells me that I just need to "accept changes"
on the final version and that removes all prior version info. Can someone
please advise me on these issues.

"Accept changes" removes only one of many kinds of personally identifiable
information -- the kind inserted with the Track Changes feature. For the
other kinds, read the appropriate articles from the following list:

For Word 2007, the Document Inspector is built in; start it by clicking
