Hidden part of the menus

Dear All,

We have a problem with missing items in the Excel 2000
menus.

We have had a developer develop an Excel spreadsheet for
us, he uses Excel 2000 Premium. He came in to do some work
on site here using our Excel 2000 Professional, and he
says there are some missing items in the menus. Basically,
it is not showing any of the 'hidden' options i.e. those
that can only be selected from the little arrow that
appears on the menus normally (XP style). On the Windows
98 PC on site where we have the Excel Professional
installed, the 'extended' part of the menu is unavailable.
This means we have no access to options such as 'names' on
the Insert menu.

Can you help please and let us know why this problem is
occuring and how we can cure it?

Thanks!

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

One of the horrible things inventions, the design was to keep
your most popular items at the top. The rest of the design
is even worse in practice.

Excel:
Tools, Customize, Options tab,
uncheck both:
Menus show recently used commands first
Show full menus after a short delay

Windows: (call Personalized Menus)
Start, settings, Taskbar & Start Menu, General (tab)
uncheck Use Personalized Menus

Thanks David.
