Hidden Rows duplicating text with mouse scroll wheel

Rob

I am experiencing problems with a document created in Word 2003. The
document has several tables with two columns. There are two specific
problems, both seem to be related to hidden rows within the table.

The first problem is that when using the scroll wheel on the mouse
upwards, some of the text in the left-hand column becomes duplicated.
This occurs in Normal view and Outline view with the Show/Hide switched
off. The text duplicated appears to be below one of the rows which is
hidden.

The second problem relates to text within the table disappearing when
in Print Layout view. There are various section breaks within the
table. Where hidden rows appear to be below a section break, switching
the Show/Hide off hides the text below. This appears to depend on
where the cursor is placed before switching the Show/Hide off. The
text appears to print correctly.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

Rob, my mouse properties in Control Panel shows numerous options for what
the scroll wheel can do. I don't know how your mouse scroll wheel could
scroll as you want it to but also copy and paste. It's a pretty feeble
suggestion that you check that setting.

For what appears to be a really strange problem, there's also the newsgroup

microsoft.public.word.newusers

MVP experts are pretty aggressive in answering all queries there altho some
do here as well, if memory serves me. It's been a while since I lurked here
and memory doesn't always serve me.
