Hello:
My objective is to find out how a save can be done in a hidden AND automatic
manner. Here is the exact scenario:
I have a button on a form which, once pressed, should cause the following
events to happen:
1) a checkbox's value is changed from "NO" to "YES".
2) the form is AUTOMATICALLY saved to a SharePoint form library WITHOUT
ASKING the user to save (hence the term "hidden" save) (if the form already
existed in the SharePoint form library, then we overwite the existing form)
3) the form auto-closes.
Steps 1) and 3) I think I have figured out. How do we do Step 2)? The
out-of-the box Rules that I could configure for the button have "submit" as
one of the data connection options, but I could I actually do a hidden,
automatic save?
Thanks.
