JLH;
There's a weird relationship between the View preferences
and Print Preview and the Show/Hide button.
When you select Tools - Options - View and there is *no*
checkmark in the Hidden text option, you can hide or show
hidden text one of two ways: either click the Show/Hide
button, or click the Print Preview button.
If you want hidden text to stay in view, then select
Tools-Options-View and place a checkmark next to Hidden
text. That way, when you click the Show/Hide button,
other nonprinting characters disappear, but hidden text
remains in view. However, clicking Print Preview still
hides hidden text.
(As a further muddying of the waters, when you print, be
sure to click the 'Options' button to make sure that
print hidden text is either checked or unchecked as you
desire.)
