Hidden Word Macro?

T

Tom Kreutz

I have a Word 2002 document that prompts me to enable or disable a
macro within it, but when I look in the VBA editor, I can't find any
module containing a macro.

Any ideas on how I might either find the hidden macro, or remove the
behavior?

Thanks,

Tom Kreutz

Hi Tom,

Save the document as an .RTF file and then save it back to Word format.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the suggestion. Oddly, even though I was warned that all
macros would be lost if I saved the document at an .rtf file, saving it
as an .rtf file and then back to a new .doc file does NOT suppress Word
from asking whether I want to enable or disable the macros. Sigh.

This all came about by copying and pasting various web pages into my
document. I think that there is a form or control floating around
somewhere. I probably need to write a VBA macro to delete all controls.

Thanks anyway,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Close the document after saving it as an .RTF file and then open it again.

Hi Doug,

Yes, I did this (save as RTF, close document, open RTF, save as new
DOC file, close document, open it again), but the behavior (i.e.
prompting to enable/disable macros) still persists.
