Is there a way to prevent hidden text, comments, and
tracked changes (insertions, deletions, etc.)from being
seen by others in Word 2002. I am working with an
attorney who wants to prevent e-mail attachment recipients
from viewing revisions made to a document.
I had the attorney send me a test document. The first
time he sent the document in the final draft making sure
that the reviewing feature was not activated. The second
time the document was sent after it was saved with the
file renamed. In both instances, I was able to view the
comments, insertions, and deletions made to the document.
I thought that if the file was renamed, the application
would view it as a new document thereby preventing all
modifications from being seen. Needless to say this did
not work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
