Hidding Ribbon Removes Office Button Items

Hi. Currently I'm hiding the Ribbon in my db by setting the Ribbon
name to a custom ribbon. Problem is this also removes several
items from the Office Button such as the Manage.. which I use
frequently to backup my database. I also use the Make Mde from
the ribbon. Currently, when I need these items I hold the shift key
down while opening the db.
Can one hide the Ribbon and still retain these items? Or, is there
a Add-In or utility that one can use to back up the database and/or
make an mde?
