When I enter partial data into a aubform, leaving out the
fields which tables are linked by I get this message when
I try to leave the subform.

You cannot add or change a record because a related
record is required in table 'tblAdvisor'.

Now I have my own message box appear after this that says
the same thing but in a language the user will understand
easier.

How can I eliminate this access message or at least
change it to my personal wording.

Look at the table your subform is based on. One or more of the fields fields
which your tables are linked by is a number type. Open the table in design view
and click on the field or fields and in the bootm part of the screen delete the
default value 0.
