Hide Gridlines as default setting

Dan

We use Word 2000 in Terminal Server under Windows Server 2000. I would like
table gridlines not be shown as default in all documents for all users. Is it
possible to set this in a AD policy and how would this policy look like?

Any other ideas of setting this as default are also welcomed!

Hi Dan,

The menu toggle for gridlines is stored in the user's
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Word\Data\Settings
key (binary) along with a lot of other settings. You could
possibly model that key and then load it as a template reg key
through the Custom Maintenance Wizard from the Office 2000 Resource Kit
(http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2000)

Terminal server use by Office 2000 (only) required a specific initial
..MST file for deployment (TermSrv.MST) that you can amend or
chain as described in the Office Resource Kit (ORK).
