I am trying to globally hide the menu bar and all tool bars (for ONE SINGLE
database only) with the exception of one that I create that has only the
option to close and print.

I have searched through the solutions here and have tried to apply some but
I just cannot seem to make the menu bar and tool bar go away permanently. The
menu bar keeps reappearing and toolbars keep coming back with no consistency.

I want to apply only one tool bar that I make globally to all forms and
reports for this database only.

Thanks for your help.

It is difficult to have NO menu bar because the application should have one
specified as the application main menu. If you notice, the main menu bar is
where the minimize, restore, and close buttons are positioned whenever you
maximize an object. With no menu a maximized object can get "stuck" with no way
to close it. Becasue of that Access always provides a stripped down menu if you
don't specify one.

Have you tried making you one bar a menu bar tather than a toolbar and
specifying it as the application's main menu?

Rick Thank you, I will try this tomorrow. I am a little confused by menu bars
and tool bars and what makes them tick right now. I just want very limited
functionality for the users -- only print and close the form or application
and I pretty much have everything covered by command buttons. Thanks again
for your invaluable help.
