Hide Multiple tasks in ProjectServer 2003

Mukul Jain

Hi,
Is there any option to hide multiple tasks at a once time from task view
instead of selecting one by one in project server 2003?

Thanks,
Rahul

Dale, Thanks for your quick response, but can we have other option to move
out completed tasks from Task view instead of deleting from database. This is
for reducing the completed task burden from users task view.

Have you considered asking your team members to use the Current Tasks option
on the View My Tasks page? Your ONLY options are:

1. Users select the Current Tasks option. This hides completed tasks.
2. Users select the All Tasks option, but manually hide completed tasks one
task at a time.
3. The Project Server administrator deletes completed tasks from the
database.

Hope this helps.

Dale / Jain,

I think there exists another way to deal with this and is the better
solution in my view - "Unpublish Tasks" Once a task is complete (Project
Owner should make sure its 100% complete in all aspects) then unpublish the
task. This way the resources would not be able to view these unpublised tasks
in thier "My Tasks" view.

Follow these steps to unpublish the tasks...

1. Insert Column "Publish"
2. Select "No" from the dropdown for the tasks which the resource shouldnt
see.
3. Save & Publish the project.

Nice try, but Jain's company is using Project Server 2003. The Publish
field exists only in Project Server 2007. But thanks for trying!
