Hide optional section when done

I would like to be able to close the optional section when the user is done
with a section, and still keep the information inside without deleting it.
Is that possible without outside code? Please help, it will help minimize
the length of the form as it will be expanded out when they start filling it
out. It would be nice to collaspe the section when the checkbox for the
completion is checked and to be viewed again if needed for future reference.
Thank you for your time. I am a newbie.

Hi Rachel.

Views are simply that in InfoPath. There is no effect on the data. Once
fields are populated - hiding sections or fields, changing views, etc has no
effect.

So yes typically you put sections in your views and then hide them as needed
or use multiple views to keep the amount of dat managable at any given time.

You also sometimes create a special view for printing that is better
formatted for paper.

Hello

You can use Conditional formatting on the section to hide it when the check
box is selected.
