Hide Querie

R

Roger

I saw in one of the newsgroups that a querie could be
hidden, where it was not visable. But now I cannot find
it, and it is not in help or a access book that i have.
I have tried all the tools and cannot find it anywhere.
My line of thinking if I can hide all the queries, then
no one could go in and mess around and corrupt the
application.
Thanks for any help
Roger

Yep, just select the query, right click and
check 'Hidden'. To be able to see the queries again, you
have to open Tools > Options > Show and check 'Hidden
objects'.

(Menu names might not be 100% correct as I am using a
norwegian edition of access 97).

thanks for the quick reply.
I tried that but it doesn't work, it does lighten the
icon a little, but you can still see it and open it.
Any idea what is wrong.
Thanks

Thanks Richard and Rick
I will do the tool bar thing, most people using it are
not savvy on computers, so that should take care of the
matter.
Thanks again

You have your options set to display hidden objects.
Something your users can do too
by the way.

You can prefix your object name with USys and Access
will treat it as a system object
