Hide the 'Send/receive' window

Hi to all...
I have a problem with outlook XP.
Sometimes the window 'send/receive' pop up on the top of the screen,
stopping everything that i am writing...
It's a little boring...
There is a way to disable it, or at least show it only when i manually ask
the send/receive, like in outlook express?
