Hide, View, Copy

I have created a diagram showing 10 devices (routers) I would like to add an item to each device that will be hidden, but can be viewed, selected and copied. Basically a text file with configuration information. It would be great if I could couple this with custome properties!

one solution might be to have the information separate from the visio
drawing (possibly a word doc) and then just hyperlink to it.
