Hiding a field and field alignment

I am real new to Infopath so please bear with me. I have a form that will be
used by the customer to be completed online and then any additional
information added by our consultants after it is submitted. There are 3
fields in this form that I need to shade out or hide so that the customer
can't enter anything into it, but, I need that field available to the
consultant. I have hidden the field and that works, but everthing to the
left of the hidden field aligns to the right. How can I properly flag the
field for office use only and keep the field alignment? Thank you for any
help that you can give me.

David - use Roles to define what is seen by your customer and your
consultants. You would also need to add a Section then add the data you want
to "hide" (keep in mind that intelligent people can always unhide!). Then
you would use conditional formats based on the user role.

To take care of your formatting issues you would need to use a table inside
of the Section - this would elimiate the movement that you have discovered.

Thank you for responding, I was beginning to worry. I will give what you
suggest a try. I believe I understand what you are talking about. I will
just have to play around with it since I am new to Infopath. I will let you
know how it turns out or if I have any questions. I will be going out of
town for a week or so, so I won't be working on it for the next few days.
