"Hiding" a slide

M

Mark and Theresa

I want to hide a slide from prying eyes!

I have set up a presentation giving instructions, followed by a results
table. The students must fill in the gaps from their expt. I then give the
"correct answers", and they see how they did.

However ... I have one student who homes in to anything like a fly to
sh..........

Other than killing her (still illegal, although it would probably be a
mercy-killing for the rest of us!) how can I stop this?

I have a "Don't touch" slide that appears. Can I make this loop back
automatically/on next click?

I would, of course, have a "hidden" button for advancing to the answers.

Thank you

There are a lot of things you can do. First, you probably want to put
your presentation in Kiosk mode. This will prevent students from moving
around with arrow keys, clicks, etc. You will have to set up a button or
hyperlink every time you want your students to jump from one slide to
another.

You also might want to save your presenation as a PowerPoint Show, rather
than a PowerPoint presentation. This won't prevent prying eyes, but it
will automatically start the show in Slide Show mode rather than edit
mode, so they won't easily be able to view the slides when you don't want
them to.

Finally, you might want to look into doing some stuff with VBA. With it,
you can hide and show shapes, and even require the right answer before
proceeding. That is a big step, but it might be worth it for you. Check
