Hiding Closed Issues

Is it possible to alter the 'Issues and Risks' page (issueriskcenter.aspx) to
hide closed issues? I suspect there is an easy technique, but I just cannot
seem to find it.

Actually, a better way to put this may be:

Is there a way to create/modify a view on the 'Issues' list that is on the
defaul 'Issues and Risks' page for PWA? I am set up with full rights, but I
cannot locate where that can be done.

Are you referring to MSPS 2003?

If you are referring to the drilling into a project's issues or risks via
PWA then yes, you can hide all the closed issues/risks from the list but it
would require you to make the default view for all your sharepoint
workspaces a view that filters out the statuses of closed. This would need
to be changed on the workspace template for future sites and changed
manually for all existing sites.

Thanks for the quick response. However, this is referring to the top level
workspace that when you click on the Issues and Risks link under 'My Work' in
the Quicklist, it takes you to a list of all issues and all risks of all
projects (...IssueRiskCenter.aspx). That is the place where I want to filter
out closed issues, as I expect the issue list to grow significantly quite
quickly -- and showing closed issues would just clutter and confuse.

Just more clarification... This is the page that has 4 column headers under
the 'Issues' label: Project Name, Active, Postponed and Closed. I may have
mislead when I said it shows all the issues of all the projects -- it only
shows the issues that are assigned to the current user, but for all the
projects.

Unfortunately, this is a pretty hard coded page and looks similar to the one
in MSPS 2003. Even the status values are hard coded for Active, Postponed
and Closed. If you deviate from these statuses this view becomes not very
usable.

Sorry if this is not any help to you.

Thanks... I just thought I was missing something, as it just does not seem
reasonable to have a view of issues than can only grow over time. That is...
If I get 50 issues a week and close 50 issues a week, in just 5 months time,
it will always load 1000 issues each time I go to that page, even though I
would have only a handful of open issues at any given time. And the page
will continue to get heavier and heavier each day.

Thanks for looking, though...

Hello, please is there way to show this page - Issues and risks
(issueriskcenter.aspx) - but listed risks over all active projects ? I'm
unable to find a possibility to create a view. And modification of this page
could solve my problem (but "user friendly" modification). And could
partially help Jim too (decrease amount of closed risks).

Thanks Petr
