hiding components of a subreport

I'm definitely a newbie, but not "that" new; so, I feel like an idiot asking
this but...

- I have a subform on a form; it has 1 control: a text box
- the text box has a record source of (2) fields; the 1st is the visible
field, and the 2nd is linked to the parent form
- the box will be un-editable; its only purpose is to show a list of data
related to the record on the main form

my question has to do with format...
- above the textbox (occurring once at the top of the form is the fieldname
for the text box) -how do I get rid of it?
- to the left of the text box, the record selectors (?) are showing, and I
can't seem to turn them off (they are turned off at the form
properties -no?). -how do I do that?

Are you talking about the label? Well, just highlight it and delete it. If
it is Access 2007 then you have to ungroup then highlight and delete.

They are turned off at the form properties level. Are you not finding it
under the form properties? Because it's a Yes/No choice.

the label is not a label, and the form's property for record selectors is
turned off
....I've attached a screen shot but it keeps getting rejected (?0; if you
want, i can send it to a different adress ...

thanks in advance,
mark

Mark,

You are using datasheet view on the subform. In datasheet view you can't
hide those components. To hide those you will need to use form view. Set
the form to continuous, this will make it appear the way you want it to BUT
you will have control over record selectors and column headers.
