Hiding Main tasks instead of sub-tasks

Yenan

I have a massive project with way too many task and sub-tasks. I know one
can hide sub-tasks but clicking the "-" sign next to the main task. However I
need a way to hide the main task since in some cases it creates clutter.

The start and end date for the main task is the start and end date of all
the sub-tasks,so the main task doesn't have any pre/successor.

Thanks for the help

Tools/Options...
From the View tab, *deselect* show summary tasks at the bottom

Oh - placing predecessors/successors on summary tasks is very very rarely a
good idea.

If you want to hide all the main tasks/summary tasks, go to
Tools-Options...-View, and un-tick "Show summary tasks".
But if you want to hide some main task you can assign a filter for example
using Flag field/colomn as the help.
