Hiding or Deleting duplicate entries

Chris Bauer

So far so good with my property list problems, the help from here has been
great!

Now, all I need to do is eliminate duplicate entries so I can export a
mailing list our of the file once a year. I can hide all info that is not
needed, but would like to eliminate duplicate names. Many people own more
than one parcel of property and therefore are listed many times. I only want
to send them one mailer. Is there a way to do this? This does not have to
happen automatically when the main list is updated, I can copy the main list
to worksheet 2 and eliminate the dupes when I need the mailing list. Anyway,
thanks again for the help and someday hopefully I can do the same for
someone!

Insert a new worksheet.
Select your data range on original sheet.
Data>Filter>Advanced Filter.
Check "Unique records only" and "copy to a new location".

Your "listrange" will be already entered. In the "copy to" click on the
Collapse Dialog button and select your new worksheet A1.

OK your way out.
