Hiding pointer during AVI file

I set hidden pointer option on first slide when starting presentation but
when an imbedded AVI file starts the pointer appears again. Can I set the
pointer as hidden by default or must I set it each time I begin the
presentation? What can I do to insure that it does not pop up when the AVI
file starts? I do not want to ever see the pointer on my screen during the
presentation!
