hiding subpages

Is there any way that sub pages can be collapsed? I find that I have
numerous subpages under one main page. If I group them, it simply gives me
the same number of tabs off the side. What I'm looking to do is to simply
expand the tabs when I am working on that main page and hide them the rest
of the time.

Not in the current version. Subpages remain completely visible, with no
way to collapse them.
