I think you might be referring to the setting in recent PC versions of Word,
in Print Layout, in which the top and bottom margins are not displayed. If
that's the case, it isn't available in the equivalent view on the Mac (Page
Layout view). The best alternative is to use Normal view, returning to Page
Layout view whenever you need to establish pagination. This is easily done
by keyboard shortcuts, namely Command-Option-p and Command-Option-n (or by
using the buttons at the left-hand end of the status bar).
