In Excel 2007 is there a way to surpress zeros in a whole workbook without
having to do it for each sheet seperately?

Not that I can find without using VBA but the simple way is:
Open the Office tab (coloured ball); go to bottom to find Excel Options;
In left panel open Advanced Options
In right panel locate "Display Options for this Worksheet"
To the right of this text is a dropdown box from which you can select any
single sheet in the workbook
Then uncheck the "Display zeros" box for sheet 1
From dropdown select Sheet2
etc
until all sheets done
best wishes
