High CPU Usage when printing from MS Word

My CPU usage goes to 100% when printing from MS Word or Excel. I have tried
to alternate between spooling to the printer and printing directly to the
printer. MS WOrd freezes on the 2nd option. WHen spooling - there is just a
huge delay while the CPU is maxxed out.

Any suggestions?
