I have ran a pivot table and have columns left to right like ID No., 2007,
2008, 2009, Purchase date. In the pivot I have stated that where there are
blank cells insert the word 'Missed'.
What I now want is a conditional format formula that, where the word
'Missed' is found (e.g. cell B1) it looks at the Purchase date (cell F1) and
compares it to the column date (2007). If it contains the same year, it turns
the word 'Missed' a color like red.
e.g. - in the 2007 column, where the cell value is 'Missed' the formula says
- check the purchase date in the same row and if it contains '2007' turn the
word 'Mised' red.
I can alter the conditional format statement to suit years 2008, 2009.
