Sometimes when using Word (though this suggestion applies to all Office apps,
and maybe all Windows apps), I open several views of the same document - one
of the content, one of the reference list, one of a notes area, etc. I know
which icon in the app toolbar (the one showing the running applications)
corresponds to which view, because I know the order in which I opened the
views. However, when I press ALT-TAB, I can' t tell which icon is which in
the ALT-TAB screen, because the icons are ordered by most recent use, not by
the document's position in the app toolbar.
A simple solution is that, each time I press TAB and select an icon (but
before releasing ALT), the icon for the corresponding document (the one that
will receive the focus if I release ALT) flashes briefly.
