highlighted find and replace in XP

In a table where there are a number of columns. I only
want to find and replace in a few of these columns. I
highlight the desired columns do a find and replace on
the first item to be done then WP asks if I wish to find
& replace in the remainder of the document. I do not and
so click "NO". In NT version the original highlighted
areas only appears (which is what I want) but in my XP it
highlights the entire document even though I typed "NO".
Please help.
