Highlighting problem

My boss is working on his laptop in Word. He is having a
problem with a highlighting feature that came on by
holding down the Shift button for 7 seconds. ??? Well,
now it won't turn off. Any suggestions as to how to turn
this feature off? Thank you in advance for any help.

Look at the Accessibility settings in Windows Control Panel.
