highlighting words in Powerpoint

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel How do I select/highlight multiple words in ppt?
I thought I could use the 'command' key for this, but apparently not.

I need this because I am selecting a few words per slide to have in a different color and underlined but I don't want to select each word and perform task individually, I just want to select multiple words as once.

Are you referring to non-consecutive words? If so there is no technique for
doing so. Use the Format Painter (paintbrush icon) tool;

1- Select & format the one word, leave it selected
2- Double-click the Format Painter tool (which keeps it active)
3- Select each additional string you want formatted with those same
attributes. You can even go from one slide to another.
4- Click the Format Painter button once when done to turn it off.

yes, that is exactly what I wanted to do, and that formatting tool works.

There is a little getting used to it, because when you click it (enabling it) it only works for 1 more word format.

And it its only a single click to enable it.

If you double click to select the Format Painter, it will remain
active to use as many times as you want until you click it off.

See point #2 in my reply as well as Mark's reply.

A single click gives you ONE shot with the Format Painter... Double-clicking
it allows for unlimited applications of the copied formatting.
