Hightlighting text in email

I can no longer highlight text (so I can "copy" and "paste") and if I open
an attachment twice it gives me an error message and Outlook Express shuts
down. I've sent so many error message to Microsoft they should know me by
first name now!!
I have uninstalled and installed Outlook Express many times. Can anyone
help PLEASE.
