History Data lost: Unacceptable Fix on the way?

I upgraded from BCM03 to BCM07. Now when I open an old "Email" in the
"History" view of a "Contact" the email has been turned into a "Business
Activity". This in itself is not a problem but the body of the message is
missing. The header and all of the informatin is there but the body is
empty.... on all of them. I contacted MS through the support channel and was
told that I would have to reinstall the Outlook/BCM03 to be able to view the
data.

I am having a real problem with this. It is very uncredible and arrogant to
not migrate all of the data.

Does anyone have the same experience? Does anyone have a fix for this
problem? Jim

The reason BCM does not open your original email is because Outlook
cannot find it when BCM asks Outlook to open it.

In that case, BCM displays the information about the email it had
stored in the BCM database.

OK, I understand that but why? I am confused. These emails were available
from BCM before I upgraded. Jim

Are emails still in Outlook? If not, then the upgrade to Outlook 2007
probably created a new Outlook store (.PST file).

If the emails are in Outlook (e.g. in the Inbox) then Outlook 2007 may
have assigned new IDs to them as part of the upgrade.

Luther, the emails are in an Outlook folder, all 5000 of them. I can open
them from Outlook. Yes I am running everything Office 07.

If the ID's were changed then how can the header still show up under the
History in the BCM contact? Why (how) would the body of the message not be
with the header?

If IDs were changed during the upgrade, why would this have been done? I do
not understand why attention would not have been given to maintaining
integrity of my data.

The email header and the first part of the message that you see in the
history is stored in the BCM database.

I don't know why the link between Outlook and BCM's history is getting
broken by the upgrade.
