history of Microsoft Access

Hi,
I am a fourth year student in the University of Limerick, Ireland and I am
in the process of researching microsoft access for my final year project.
During my research I have become quite confused so I would be very grateful
if you could direct me to the earlier versions, which are still in use today,
what is better about the newer versions, and also can all the versions be
used on any computer or do they have to be compatable to each system? This is
only the history of the system and I will be writing no more than two pages,
therefore I would be very grateful with any few tips!
Best regards,
Louise

You can start here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/previous/access/10years/default.asp

This will give you some basic information. You can also google for
"Microsoft Access Product History" - you'll find many links that might lead
you to some useful information.

Good luck with your research.
