History where is it?

Where is history I can't find it. I remember seeing it on toolbar once but
don't see it anymore. Even then it was VERY difficult to use. No where near
as Elegant and simple as going back in time for different version as say,
PHOTOSHOP is.

Are you talking about Word?

There is an Undo List that you can access via the small arrow on the
side of the Undo icon in the toolbar.

There is a Versions feature (until File) but you have to specifically
invoke it and it isn't very reliable anyhow.

For more than that, you'll need to explain more specifically what you
are hoping to have happen.

Hi Kevs:

In Word, the history for each document appears if you drop-down the listbox
attached to the Undo button.

If the document has been closed since the changes were made, or has never
been saved, the history is cleared and there will be nothing to see.

There is also a Save Versions function: don't use it. It stacks all
versions in the same file, so that if you lose one you lose all.

At the bottom of the File>Open menu, you will see the most recent files that
have been saved in Word. You can set this to show up to the most recent
nine files using the Preferences>Save dialog.

On the File menu if you open the Project Gallery, there is a more useful
list that should show you everything you have ever saved, in date order.

Hope this helps

Thanks Guys, that drop down just seems so pathetic, I will Word had
something more like the history palette you have in Photoshop.
