Hit Counter Problem. Help needed.

Andrew_Rodriguez

I've been researching the hit counter for days not and I can't figure
it out.

Here is my problem: Using FP2002, I drop a hit counter on my page. I
publish it to my web server (W2k, IIS5.0) and when I go view the page,
all I get is the box with the red X with 'Hit Counter' next to it.

This is what I've tried -

On the server side:
Verified that the folder that has the fcounter.exe is set to allow for
executables.
I made sure that in _private that the cnt files are allowed to write.

Not sure what to try on the FrontPage side....

Any ideas? I've read and read and can't figure out what is wrong!
Thanks, Andrew

Check that the FP extensions on the server are running properly.

Are you running URLscan? It can be configured (default??) to stop
requests that run a .exe Check the logs.

Check that the path to the counter image is correct.
