Hit Counter

I have a hit counter that shows up on the page. However, it never seems to
increment. Any ideas on what I should look at to fix this?

Frontpage under reports, component errors, says that the the page contains
a hit counter component that will not function correctly until you publish
your Frontpage web to a server. However, the pages are located on
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot which is the server. So how do I tell Frontpage that the
pages are already published on the server??
