Greetings
I am new to webpage writing and I need some help.
I am trying to add a hit counter to mu index page. Frontpage allows me
to place a marker at the right spot, but all I get when I run the page
is an oblong with he words "hit counter". How do I get the actual
counter to show.

A link to the page will help.
The server must be running the FrontPage
extensions, and the page with the hit counter
must be published to the server using HTTP, not
FTP.

The hit counter will not function in preview in
browser.

Off topic - hit counters are not generally used
on today's websites, and are very inaccurate.
Refreshing the page adds another hit. Google
Analytics, and other statistics such as those
provided by your host, gives much more detailed
- and accurate - information about your website
and pages.
