Hit counters and FrontPage Server Extensions

I am building a web program that I want to be able to run off a CD and not
from a hosted web site. Can I still use FrontPage's hit counters, or do they
only work when hosted on a server running FrontPage Server Extensions? Thanks!

You can't use anything that require's FP server extensions.
