Holiday Planning

Hello

I'd like to create a rather simple tool to manage the holidays of approx 20
persons over the coming year.

I have created a standard calander with the various public holidays.

There are basically 4 desks with 5 persons each. So I guess there will be
four "tasks" (=desks) and twenty resources, each resource having its own
wishes for holidays.

I would like to ensure that no desk has less than three resources at any one
time.

The resource view enables me to see approximately whenever this happens.
However this view is not very userfriendly.

Is it possible to create some kind of Gantt view with the resources per desk
and some kind of warning system when resources are too low?

In advance, many thanks.

Hi AvD,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Project is not really designed for this sort of thing. However, have you
had a look at the Resource Graph view? That shows clearly how many
resources are required by time slice.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
