Home network with three users

Hello,

I have a home network with three users; 2 desktops and one laptop. I have
Office Professional 2007 installed on the main desktop, but would like to
install the same Office suite on my son's laptop and my husband's desktop as
well. Will I be able to install the same suite of programs on their computers
that I already have installed on mine? I realize this is almost like a "site
license" type of thing - but we (as a family) own the program disc. I know if
I do this we will not be able to use the programs on different computers
simultaneously, but we have no issue with having to wait for our respective
"turns" as we will likely not need to work at the same time.

See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA012340811033.aspx "Read the
Microsoft Software License Terms". Section 2 "Installation and Use
Rights" tells you how many computers (and what types of computers) you
can install your copy of Office on.

Generally speaking, an OEM (preinstalled) copy of Office 2007
Professional is licensed for installation only on the computer that the
software came with, and a retail-box copy of Office 2007 Professional is
licensed for installation on one desktop and one laptop owned by the
same person.

That should work because although my son uses the laptop, I own it. The
Office suite was a retail purchase.

In case I wasn't clear, you cannot legally install the software on three
computers.

Retail Office professional is Licensed for One person. It may be
installed on the Primary device (call it desktop if you want) and a
portable (call this the laptop) for the exclusive use by the User of the
Primary device. In other words, it's not licensed for 2 users on 2
computers( who owns the computers is immaterial)
