Lost and in need of HELP!

HELP!!
I am not sure what happened, but for years I have kept yahoo.com as my homepage. Recently my home page has switched to some search page that I don't want. I have gone to tools and redirected my home page to yahoo, but whenever I shut down and start up again it's gone again... being automatically redirected to a different home page? How do I fix this?

Hello,
I'm not sure that Microsoft Project in implicated in your home page issue.
If your browser is Internet Explorer, I would seek for some advise in an
internetexplorer NG.

Sounds like you've been hit with one of those damned Trojan horse browser
hijacking advertising programs - you make a typo in a url and your browser
goes to this search site. When you try to leave it asks if you want to make
it your default home page. If you accidently hit the wrong button or just
hit enter, it acts like a virus and writes c**p all over your system making
it almost impossible to remove. Just like a virus, you think you've removed
it and next time you reboot it's right back again. SpyBot Search & Destroy
might be able to get rid of it. OMG do I hate those things, the slime
bucket maggots that build them and the language-fails-expletive companies
that put them online! Stand 'em all in a giant blender and hit "pulse" for
5 seconds every minute. Killing's too painless
