homepage buttons

I want to create something on my homepage but I'm not sure what the correct
term for it is.

On my website I have a series of buttons which direct you to other pages. On
one of the pages, it has other pages which come off it.

What I want to do is to add those pages to the button on the homepage. In
otherwords when the mouse hovers over this particular button, it shows all
the other pages associated to it.

I hope my ramblings make sense to someone LOL
