Homepage Hyperlink problem crazy

O

Ockerr

I setup my Web Homepage http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/johnker1/
with a Hyperlink to a Folder on my site Called "Johns Bird Page" but now I
cannot go to this Directory on the site called "index2" and open up the page
that I have there. the Hyperlink to the site is called
http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/johnker1/index2/index.html I am using
Publisher 2000 on Windows 98se When I actually made the Home page up I was
using windows XP
But now when I goto the page it says HTTP 404 not found, yet I have never
had a problem before it suddenly seems to dont want to alow access to this
Directory where the page is stored,
Is it because I have now changed it using win98se, or can anyone give a
reason for the problem.
Many thanks

ps I know I could have picked a better name for the Directory than index2
but I have always used that and it shouldnt matter as its only a directory
where the page is stored.

The 404 on this URL indicates that either the folder index2 does not exist
at that location or the file index.html does not exist at that location or
both. You need to connect to your server and review where you have files and
folders located.

Your PC Operating System is totally irrelevant to your web site.

But now when I goto the page it says HTTP 404 not found, yet I have never

Either you have deleted the folder and/or file or loaded to it a different
location or you changed it's name.

Is it because I have now changed it using win98se, or can anyone give a
reason for the problem.

It scares me that you would leave Windows XP for 98 SE but regardless that
is an irrevelant point.

where the page is stored.

The only thing that matters is that the physical name is the same as the
name in the link.
