Horizonal Spacing...buton...macro...function?

R

I use the "Format....Horizonal Spacing...Increase" menu item very VERY often
while creating reports but Access does not have an option to add that command
to the toolbar. Does anyone know...

a) How to add this command to the toolbar, or

b) How to create a macro or function to do this?

I would also like to use the same steps for the make equal, decrease and
Vertical spacing commands.

Thanks,

Rebecca

You can make a custom toolbar or you can modify the current toolbar.

Open up a form in design view
Right Click on a menu or toolbar
Select Customize
(new tool bar - click NEW)
Click on the item you want to add to the toolbar
Drag the item from the menu to the toolbar (hold down the Control key while
you are dragging it)
(Holding the control key down will keep the item on the original menu - copy
versus move)
Drop the item on the toolbar
Repeat until you have all the items you want on the toolbar.
If you make a mistake and accidentally remove an item from the formatting
menu, right-click on Format in the menubar and select Reset to restore it
Close the Customize dialog.

I am used to being able to choose the item from the "Commands" tab but that
did not work in this case. You are right - I was able to copy it from the
Format menu into a new toolbar. Thanks for your help.

Glad it worked for you.

And I decided to add the items to my toolbar also. I do use them and have
been using keystrokes to call them repeatedly, the button click is faster if
I need to increase/decrease space multiple times.
