Horizontal and Vertical Rulers

My Horizontal and Vertical rulers have suddenly dissappeared, leaving only a
thin blue line. I have not touched the options and they were showing
yesterday. The checkbox in Tools > Options > View > "Vertical ruler (print
view only)" is checked, yet there are no rulers showing. I am in Print view.
I have tried checking and unchecking the option (pressing OK each time), and
changing to and from print view and other views, but neither have worked.

How do I restore the rulers? Is there an option that I need to check?

Hi, Matthew. Have you clicked on View | Ruler?

Yes, it has a big orange tick next to it. I've tried checking and unchecking
it but nothing happens, the rulers still do not show.
